We'll get back our quizzes from last class, and discuss the grades earned using our work submission rubric. The grade distribution for the quiz was, A: 4, B: 1, C: 5, D: 6, E: 0.

Then you will work in your business groups to investigate bookkeeping. Work together to produce a single PDF document to email me at the end of class which has answers to the following questions:

1. What is bookkeeping? Come up with a short (2 or 3 sentences max) definition in your own words.
2. Why would we want to study bookkeeping in an entrepreneurship class like ours?
3. Why is bookkeeping necessary for anyone starting a small business?
4. What kinds of things are kept in the books of a bookkeeping system?
5. Approximately how much would it cost to hire a bookkeeper for a year to keep the books of a small business?

Assuming your small business has decided that since you can't afford to hire a bookkeeper, you will learn to do it in-house, research 10 free on-line resources that could help your business group (or at least someone in your business group) to learn bookkeeping on their own.
